Education and Experience
Eric started out in high school Vo-Tech carpentry. That’s where he felt right at home and developed an interest in learning more. He went on to work with a variety of carpenters and woodworkers after that. He furthered his learning at SUNY Delhi specializing in woodworking and carpentry. His education included how to build homes, craft fine furniture, learning about the problems homes face and solutions to resolve them.
He also attended a 6 week furniture/cabinetry class over the summer, furthering his education. At that time he also gained a certificate to work with Corian products, though no longer needed, we still have the experience to create furniture, displays and countertops with this product.
Continuing on, Eric went to work for a woodworker/cabinet maker for roughly 12 years. This is where he truly honed his craft in millwork, kitchen cabinetry, custom built-ins, custom vanities, woodworking, tile work, renovations, bathroom remodels, kitchen remodels, libraries, closets and more.
Eric later went on to work for other companies that included building high end furniture, mall displays, and trim work. He also has experience working in production shops building cabinetry, displays and décor for retail stores across the country.
Then he decided it was time to go full speed with his own business, Valley to Mountain Home Improvements. We now take on work such as kitchen painting, refacing, cabinetry, custom furniture, tile work, backsplashes, small remodels, sheetrock repair, painting, handyman jobs and a variety of other home improvements!
